- My husband Todd and I have been together 11 years and married for 6. My father, a retired Army Colonel inspired me to enlist in the military at 19 and I am a proud Gulf War veteran having served 9 years in the Air Force. In 2002 I left the military life and we planted our roots in Hanover, Pennsylvania. These days I'm still working for the Department of Defense as a civilian and spent 6 months of 2010 deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As someone who grew up in a military family, served in the military, and continues to work closely with the military, I understand how critical a strong support system can be. Armed Forces Foundation - Childrens Holiday Party 2011
Here is a list of some amazing people who worked so hard to bring smiles to 111 military children at the Armed Forces Foundation's 2nd annual holiday party! Dr. Jay Wasserman & family, Joyce Sheridan - JBAB Youth Center, Darrilyn Young - NCR MWR, Armed Forces Foundation volunteers and staff, members of the US Air Force Presidential Honor Guard Drill Team, Super Magic Man, NYX Entertainment, Cakel...ove, Anthony's Pizza, and Aaron's Furniture, Jodi & Scott Cessna, Julia Pauline, Sandra Bryan-Grier, Ciji Dodds, Chardia Murray, Margo Huffman, Siouxzan Moore, Angie Hionis- Bell, Carrie Bledsoe, Brandi Pope, and Jennifer Phillips. Extra special thanks to Todd, Maddie, and Aidan who are the thought behind the action from this end. It was a good day!
